EDC Leather Satchel
The original EDC leather satchel is back. It used to be called the Pouch, but we've updated it and brought it back because we missed it so much. It is meant to stretch out to what you carry in it. I personally carry my Leatherman, iphone, wallet and keys inside and in the back pocket, I carry my Field Notes journal and a pen. I often stick my boarding pass or some other paper back there. It's the must have leather travel bag.
One of our earliest and favorite designs, previously named The Pouch, has been lightly updated and is now called The EDC Leather Satchel. It’s perfectly sized to hold all your everyday carry to keep your pockets empty when you sit down to eat and work and drive.
The EDC Leather Satchel is made with one single piece of leather and lined with pigskin on the suede side. Dave carries his Leatherman Tool in the bottom and then his wallet, keys, and iPhone on top of that. There’s a slim back pocket for a Field Notes, pen and a plane ticket. The leather toggle and loop closure is nearly indestructible and can be opened and closed quickly with one hand. The clips are riveted to the bag (not the shoulder strap) so you can clip the EDC Leather Satchel to the handle or side D-rings of almost all Saddleback Briefcases for an extra exterior pocket on your larger bag.
One thing to note is that this new EDC Leather Satchel will not clip onto the older hardware (the non-stainless steel hardware - Pre 2016). The new stainless steel clips do not fit over the old hardware which was thicker.
